Long time, no update

The second half of the 1st season of Ugly Americans premiered a little more than a month ago. Here's some recent drawings, which I think ended up turning out better than the first round of designs, due to fantastic direction.

*this scene got cut, Bummer!

Robotomy also premiered recently on Cartoon Network, again... some more designs.

And lastly, I thought I'd post this only because I NEVER do stuff like this and thought it was funny. Done for a Claims Adjusting firm in Boston. It's supposed to explain how they can help in bad times.

Skullbot Factory

I finally buckled down and finished something. A couple of friends of mine recently made some cartoons that inspired me to sit down and see something all the way through for... once. Check them out.

Pins and Needles - Matt Lee
The Adventures of manCHILD - Joe Cappabianca
The President of the Universe - Mike Carlo

I'm sure some of you have seen these already, if you havn't, check them out. They're really good.

Took me awhile to finish this, but I really had fun in photoshop this time around, and it has been a very long time since I've enjoyed doing something just for myself.

Robots

When in doubt, draw ladies and/or robots. Maybe throw a Sharkticon in there for good measure. It's been awhile since I've doodled like this, I think my influences are showing a little too much. meh. Sketchbook Pro is super sweet though!

Ugly Americans

Ugly Americans premiered a couple weeks ago, and it's awesome to finally see the finished product. A lot of hard work went into it from everyone involved, and I'm glad to see the first season finished and looking amazing.

*group effort on this bg - I did the initial design, Alex Nistor colored it, and Tim Beckhardt did an amazing job cleaning it up and putting the finishing touches on the drawing (building names, details, etc).

Finally... some doodles.

Title Cards and Logos

All of the Episodes for Anthony Bourdain's Alternate Universe are out now, http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Anthony_Bourdain/Video/ci.Webseries_Anthony_Bourdains_Alternate_Universe.series

Along with the Robochef episodes from the below post, these are the rest of the title cards I designed and colored.

My brother Brendan (linked on the side) is curating a Circuit Bending festival at http://www.thetanknyc.org/

Bent Festival is from the 22-25 of April (http://www.bentfestival.org). It's the 'Annual international art and music festival celebrating DIY electronics, hardware hacking, and circuit bending.' Essentially, all kinds of crazy, hacked tunes and visuals to be enjoyed. I designed the logo for the fest over the weekend. Check out the show!

Alternate Universe

I recently had the chance to work on a new cartoon from Anthony Bourdain. Before I worked on it however, I honestly had no idea who he was. Apparently a lot of other people do though, and are huge fans of his show. These are some backgrounds I designed and painted. Characters were designed by Matt Jenkins, animation done by Kimson Albert, and directed by Greg Poretta. You can see the episode here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjHFaDt1s0U and the Travel Channel posting here http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Anthony_Bourdain/ci.Anthony_Bourdain%27s_Alternate_Universe.show?vgnextfmt=show

A drawing of Jason for a friend of mine.

Toy design sketch I did for a a studio working with Hot Wheels.

Filler

I don't have much new stuff that's worth posting, and I was holding out to post something other than more backgrounds... but it's all i got! :

Cut scene from Superjail! The Time Police ep was running 4 mins over the alotted time, I think. This scene I thought was really funny, and was none too happy that it got cut.

Background for a pitch for Fox about Little bo Peep being a huge drunk. Pretty funny stuff.

Sidescrolling level design layout for an online videogame called Planet Cazmo. This is the underwater level where you can purchase subs and level up!

Combined Post

I had posted the 2 abstract piece's before, but had 2 new character drawings I wanted to post, and instead of making more posts... I just edited them into one.

This drawing is for someone who was looking to make a 3d model of a 'regular joe' character. Hopefully it's modeled soon!

I recently got Painter X, and have been having a lot of fun with it. The one at the very bottom was my first attempt. I tried to refine style a little more in the cityscape.
